Looks like I'm slow on the uptake but
I came back to find blogger has a whole new look.
Took a while for me to get used to it and start blogging.
This is just like Facebook's timeline.
Which I think is a dumb idea really.
You have to look at the left, then the right
and my eyes are criss-crossing to the point it hurts.
I think I'll just stick to my old layout for now.

Time for updates!
January is the month of departures.
A bunch of my friends are going overseas for exchanges and stuffs.
Hm I was envious.
Because they are all enjoying themselves while I'm stuck in Singapore.
And I don't really have extra money to be going overseas too
since I'm paying for my university fees myself.
Which I'm very proud of while at the same time I feel like it's a burden I'm carrying.

February came along.
and it was a busy month with me preparing for my prelims.
And then it's March. My birthday month haha.
Celebrated my birthday at Ma Maison with ten-ten.

Thanks everybody for the polaroid camera!!
I can now cross another item off my wish list. ♥
The first thing I experimented with my new camera
was to badger my family to pose as my models. Hahahaha.
My dad was pretty excited because he hasn't seen
a polaroid camera in action for a long time now.

April and May were torturous exam months.
It's the time of the year when I dropped off the grid.
But I'm not really studying noooo.
I'm procrastinating day by day until I reach the dreaded cramming period
during which I regretted not starting my revision earlier
and promising myself I will do it the next time round.
And then next semester, I'll repeat this whole cycle again.
Why don't I learn? *exasperated*

June rolled around. It's summer time!
Met up with my entire poly clique for the first time in a long while.
We had dinner at 15 minutes.

The food was okay but the live band playing that night was really good.
I've been listening to classics like The Cranberries ever since I got back.
Maybe I'm alone on this but I realize how nostalgic it was,
the times we ate lunch together in the business school canteen,
listening to Derek's bitching about his craptastic project mates.
It's an indescribable feeling
with good music playing in the background,
sharing stories, laughing.

Another gathering with the China gang.
Seriously we need to change the name.
We had dinner at Yayoiken.
We got to sit at the booth with the tatami mats!

Cheese hamburg set

I enjoyed the food. Definitely don't mind coming back for more!
After which we headed down to Clarke Quay's Crazy Elephant for some beer.

When holidays roll around,
it means I can catch up on my shows!
A few months back, I got addicted to this drama
called Startling by each step (步步惊心)
It's a good conversation starter for my uni clique every morning lecture haha.
If you know me, I don't really cry when watching shows.
And my tears flowed nonstop when I watched the ending
to the point where it got a little embarrassing
because I was watching it in the living room
and my mom was giving me the 'wtf' look.

Right now I'm very interested in levitation photography
thanks to this Japanese lady, Natsumi Hayashi.
Check out her website here
It's more than just jump shots, it encompasses much more.
Her poses have much more flow and depth to them
and you have to jump without too much facial expression.
Unfortunately I have no awesome DSLR camera
with fabulous shutter speed so I can't do it.
Nevertheless I felt contented just appreciating the nice photos she took.
